The Australian Government has asked the Productivity Commission to undertake an inquiry into Australia’s opportunities in the circular economy to improve materials productivity and efficiency in ways that benefit the economy and the environment. The Council welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback to the PC on its Discussion Paper Opportunities in the circular economy. The Council notes that this consultation is one of many processes being undertaken in parallel by the Government looking at opportunities in the circular economy.
