A study, by International Aluminium, to better understand the economic contribution of the aluminium industry by collating existing information relating to direct and indirect jobs globally.
Employment numbers were developed for three sectors of the industry:
• upstream (mining, refining & smelting)
• downstream
• indirect employment
This study also identifies where employment data gaps exist and the best way to address such gaps.
