The Council welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) – Public Consultation Paper. The Council will focus its response on the CIS but within the context of the broader reforms taking place in the electricity markets in order to encourage new investment in clean dispatchable capacity, support reliability, and reduce the risk of price shocks in Australia’s rapidly changing energy market.
