Global statistics and information

Global aluminium information is collected and collated by International Aluminium, including for the Global Aluminium Cycle and the IAI Material Flow Model.

The industry also collects and publishes information on production, energy consumption and emissions which can be accessed here.

The Australian Aluminium Council, and other associations, also contribute to publications relevant to the industry providing guidance on global sustainability issues. Click here to access those publications.

As part of the aluminium industry’s waste-not-want-not approach to circularity – the IAI has produced two waste perception factsheets on spent pot lining (SPL) and bauxite residue. They can also be found on the IAI website here and may be downloaded in English or Chinese.
