The Council welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback to the Productivity Commission’s September 2022 interim report “5-year Productivity Inquiry: A competitive, dynamic and sustainable future“ (the Report). In its response to the Report, the Council focused on managing the climate transition and, in particular, the potential design options for the Safeguard Mechanism, as well as complementary measures.
