The Council welcomes the opportunity to provide this submission to the Joint Standing Committee on Trade and Investment Growth Inquiry into Australia’s transition to a green energy superpower. The Inquiry is investigating how trade and investment can support Australia’s transition to a green energy
superpower. Australia is in a unique position to leverage its existing, and potential future, manufacturing opportunities from mine to global clean energy markets. The key policy levers include a broader strategy on Critical Minerals, decarbonisation of electricity supply, funding work leading technology research and development of a circular industry policy.
