Bauxite mining is critical to meeting rising aluminium demand for the energy transition, but the sector’s future depends on managing biodiversity risks in some of the world’s most important ecosystems. This report, developed with International Aluminium Institute (IAI) members in Australia, Brazil, Guinea, and India, draws on the experiences of bauxite mining in these countries to provide tools that support the industry in working towards a standardised approach
to report on no net loss across sites, companies, and jurisdictions.
