The Australian Aluminium Council has updated our foundry document originally published in 1985 and updated in 1997. This edition of the Ingots and Casting manual presents data on the mechanical, chemical, physical, and other properties of aluminium casting alloys in ingot form and castings in general use in Australia.
The manual also contains information on the general characteristics of aluminium and its alloys, alloy and temper designation systems, and metallurgical aspects of casting alloys, together with general data on handling, storing, sampling, and testing.
